VALENCIA, Spain (AP) America's Cup champion Alinghi lost to Luna Rossa, and BMW Oracle Racing barely led the standings on the third day of Act 10 of the Louis Vuitton Cup challenger trials Saturday. Alinghi took on the new Italian boat and lost out early as Luna Rossa rounded the first mark 7 seconds in front, crossing the finish line 34 seconds ahead. "It was an exciting race, the boats were quite close in terms of speed,[url=http://www.holisteroutlet.cc]hollister femmes[/url], and they were able to get round us on the way round the first windmark," said Peter Isler, BMW Oracle's navigator. "When they went round the mark first we were forced to split off looking for better wind. Then their spinnaker split and this gave us the eight length's lead we wanted." In the second leg, Isler's crew faced +39 Challenge of Italy, but the race was suspended when neither yacht was able to finish the course in the allotted time. |
